Your photography is an important aspect of your business

When we look at how potential customers of your business find information in today’s visual world, nearly everything points to the Internet and the digital space.

Your online presence is one of the first things that potential customers are going to see and your photography is forefront in that experience.

It’s imperative that you make a good first impression as you don’t often get second a  second chance.

Businesses that casually use photography without thinking of the most important questions, are typically those who end up performing poorly or fail to meet the mark.

You have a story and a great message and it’s vital that you’re able to share this with your audience.

Better planning leads to better results which ultimately means that you’ll be able to convert more of your visitors into customers.

A clear brief helps you work effectively with your photographer

The brief is very much a collaboration between the photographer and the client.

As the client, it’s important that you’re able to share your ideas and articulate what you’d like effectively.

For the photographer, it’s important that they are able to listen and make suggestions that will benefit your business.

Together, this partnership can deliver fantastic results, but it requires a clear plan and a good understanding.

Taking the time to have a plan in place with an easy to understand project brief, helps everyone involved on the project to move together in the same direction.

Yes, I’d like to have effective photography!

As we highlighted above, the best photography projects work as a collaboration between you, the business owner, and your chosen photographer. The first step here is a clear and concise project brief.

A clear project brief is a plan that can be actioned by your chosen photographer. Not only does it map out the work that needs to be completed, but it allows for a list of deliverables to be created that will meet the requirements and needs of your business.

Having worked with many business owners like you over the years we’ve been in business, the one thing we’ve found that is a common struggle for many people is that they’re not able to create a project brief to a level that creates a good understanding for all involved.

We’ve designed a process that is easy for you to take part in. It all starts with a Discovery Meeting. This is a virtual meeting between you and our photographer.

The Discovery Meeting is designed to go through your plan and learn more about your photography requirements. We ask a lot of questions, which is important, because it helps us to understand you clearly and for us both to think about your target audience in more detail.

The most important question that you can ever ask yourself is “why”. It doesn’t sound like it right now, but in our Discovery Meeting you’ll hear it a lot, because it helps you to think deeply about your requirements and how they work for your target audience.

It’s good to remember that whilst photographs are created for your business, it’s actually more for your customers. If they don’t resonate with the images and your message, then you won’t generate sales.

At the end of our virtual meeting, we’ll take all of the notes we’ve made on the call with you and turn this into a complete project proposal, ready for you to hand over to your chosen photographer and get your project moving.

With a clear and concise brief, your chosen photographer will be able to easily prepare a plan for you that takes into account all of your requirements and the goals of your project.

In fact, we actually discount the Discovery Service fee from our project fee, when you choose to continue working with us.

A good project proposal will help you to bring the vision for your photography to life. It will also hold your photographer accountable to elements that have been agreed in the proposal.

Our Discovery Service is priced at £99. As mentioned above, this fee is deducted from the project fee that we create for you, when you choose to continue working with us.

To get started, you can click the button below to place your order. You’ll be re-directed to our Checkout system where you can make your payment.

After you’ve made your payment, you’ll receive an email that will provide all the instructions you need to schedule your Discovery Meeting with us and we can get started.

What’s included in our Discovery Service?

Our Discovery Service is based on a virtual meeting where we will discuss your plans for your photography and dig deeper into your requirements. We’ll work with you to fully understand everything you need and explain how this can come together from a technical perspective. After the meeting, we’ll provide you with a project proposal that you can use with ourselves or any other agency.

Discovery Meeting

We will have a virtual meeting with you to discuss your photography project. We’ll listen to your requirements and we’ll ask you questions to drill down into the specifics. This process helps all parties involved to gain full clarity in the scope of work required and it also gets you thinking in detail about your target audience and their needs.

Complete Project Proposal

After the Discovery Meeting, we’ll use the notes that we’ve created to put together a complete project proposal for your photography project. This is a document that will detail your requirements, goals and all accompanying data. You can use this as a brief to move forwards with the project with any design partner you choose.

Deduction on Future Work

When you choose Urban Haze to be your phoographer, we will deduct the cost of our Discovery Service from our project fee to you. We do this because the Discovery Service is an important part of the project and it’s the first step towards having a great photography for your business.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Why do I need a Discovery Meeting?

It’s easy to start a project with a photographer but it’s not always easy for you, as the business owner, to clearly express your requirements. A Discovery Meeting is a conversation between you and our photographer, asking you questions and digging deeper into your “why”.

Do I need to work with your company after?

No, you have no obligation to work with us after the Discovery Meeting. If you decide after using our Discovery Service that you would like to work with another photographer, that’s no problem. You can take the proposal that we create for you, and present this to any photographer.

What is a project brief/proposal?

A project brief is a document that clearly and concisely describes the project. It’s a detailed document that will run through the purpose of your photography, your requirements, any particular technical needs and most importantly, your goals.
